A spoon of energy without forgetting fibre

Ingredients for one serving

  • 30 g of whole wheat grain
  • 100 ml of whole milk
  • 20 g of white sugar
  • 10 g of cornstarch
  • 25 g of dates (cut into small pieces)
  • 3 scoops of Vitafos®
  • 10 g of mixed dried fruit and nuts

 

Preparation

  • Cook the wheat at low heat in 150 ml of water until it is thoroughly cooked (approximately 20 minutes).
  • In a saucepan, add the milk to dissolve the cornstarch, sugar and Vitafos®. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Add the ground wheat that has been cooked. Remove from the saucepan from the heat, pour the contents into a dish, and allow to cool.
  • Add the dates.
  • Sprinkle the dried fruit and nuts before serving.

Energy value: 551.70 Kcal; Proteins: 17.07 g; Carbohydrates: 85.73 g; Fat: 14.38 g.

 

Nutritional remarks

Wheat is a source of fiber, which helps improve intestinal transit and also protects against other pathologies. The main ingredient is milk, which provides the recipe with calcium, vitamin D, and proteins.
The Vitafos® supplement also provides more energy and proteins to help cover nutritional requirements.
Not suitable for people who are lactose intolerant. To prepare this recipe for someone who is lactose intolerant, substitute the milk with a soy or rice beverage.
